On April 8-9, the Transformed Women’s Conference-Chicago will be held at Naperville Presbyterian Church. A special Disability Ministry Pre-conference will be held on April 8 from 2-5pm before the general conference begins in the evening. Anyone with an interest in people with disabilities, their families or in ministering to them will want to be at this pre-conference!
Many people with disabilities and their families live entirely outside the care of the Church or on the fringes of congregational life. Yes, Scripture is clear that “those parts of the body that seem weaker are indispensable”. How can we minister to people touched by disability in our congregations and communities?
SR contributor Dawn Clark, who is a MNA Special Needs Ministries Facilitator, will present workshops that focus on how to make the gospel accessible to all in word and deed and how to integrate people touched by disability into the life and mission of the local church.
Cost for materials and training is $25. For more information and to register, visit the Disability Ministry Pre-conference website
